Chazcie Heflin, Friends of Guest House, May 28, 2020
i have fear
can i be normal
i have fear
can i change my way of life
i have fear
can i change my thinking
i have fear
can i stand TALL
i have fear
can i be a good mom
i have fear
of the unknown
i have fear
can they be better than me
i have fear all the time
but as i wake
the sun comes in
my heart slows
as the fears slip away
my heart fills with hope
i become stronger everyday

Changing Self
Chazcie Heflin, Friends of Guest House, May 22, 2020
changing self
the path i take
ending relationships
the steps to get there
beginning life a new
the choice before me
not knowing where to go
the decision to make
love pulls me home
the answer to my prayers
treasure of staying
the reflection of thought
self reliant
the 2 paths of a road
do it now
which way to go left or right

Make of Me
Aimee, Contessia, Tarkeshia, Chazcie, Ayla, Candace, Friends of Guest House, May 7, 2020
Make of my mind a fertile field
Where I cultivate beautiful ideas.
Make of my mind a calm sea
Where I can find me.
Make of my adventure
Where I go to explore.
Make of my life a beginning.
Make of my journey
So I can travel the right direction.
Make of my essence for
It is ready.

The Voices In My Heart
Chazcie, Friends of Guest House, April 30, 2020
as my mind flows, l can hear the voices
they whisper in my heart
and as i see them
they tell me
don’t give up
follow your dreams
love will find you
stay positive
your life will be
filled with joy an understanding
embrace the voices
follow them
for they will lead you to ultimate bliss

“And i said to her, ‘Why am I different?’ She said to me, ‘For you were made to stand out.'” Yes, Chazcie, yes!
Finding Yourself
Finding yourself
And I said to her
Who am i
And she said
You are who you think you are
And i said to her
Why am i different
She said to me
For you were made to stand out
And i said to her
Let go of me i want to be free
and she said you’ve been free,
you blocked yourself from yourself
